Half-Livre weight of Toulouse, dated 1239. Weight of bell metal, circular, flat, 2" diam. Stamped with representation of Chatean Narbonnais surrounded by inscription "Meia Livra de Toloza" on one side, and "A.N. MCCXXXVIIII" surrounding a representation of Toulouse Cathedral on the other side. This belongs to the "Poids de Table" or commercial system as distinct from the "Poids de Marc" or gold and silver weight. The Livre "P. de T." = 6296 English grains. This half-livre = 3014.53 English grains and is therefore light
