Set of nested brass weights in screwtop case which forms the largest weight. Whole set of 10 weights = The Nuremberg Commercial Pound, A.D.1806., total weight 8634.4 grains. Screw lid has knobbed handle, and is stamped "N" over the Bavarian arms and 1.lb, "B" and the German brass-founders mark (A.Bell). Note Nuremberg was formerly one of the "Free Cities" but was annexed by the King of Bavaria in 1806
