Painting. Forging files, Cyclops Steel and Iron Works / EF Skinner, 1918. Oil on board; 31 x 47 cm in frame 44x60x3.5cm. Signed brc. Original for postcard no. 16, passed by censor May 10, 1918. Men on swing seats operate power hammers to forge files. Machine shop view includes bundles of files with bangs or points ready for handles to be fitted, before teeth are cut.
