Londini / coat of arms / motto Nullius in Verea. reverse: Britannia seated holding laurel wreath, caduceus, among surround r. vacuum pump and chemical apparatus; [above] G. Copley Bart. Dignissimo. [below] Sir J.J. Thomson, O.M., F.R.S. 30 Nov. 1914. [Medal founded 1731]
