These papers were amassed over many years by Dr Percy B Walker, formerly of the Royal Aircraft Establishment. They include material on many aspects of the history of aviation, including ballooning, Cody’s flights, and the DH Comet crashes of 1954. As well as being of interest to historians and students, such material is of value to Science Museum curators when researching information on exhibits for new gallery displays.
