This typewritten catalogue is probably the only copy of it in existence. It details the collection of medals, placquets and coins etc built up by Professor Raphael Blanchard over many years. Blanchard (1857-1919) was professor of medicine in Paris and a notable collector. The catalogue contains almost 3000 entries, many relating to science and medicine. While of interest for its own sake, it also forms a useful reference tool for the Science Museum’s Coins, Medals and Tokens collection.
