Commemorative cover, consisting of an envelope with heradlic arms and an 8 1/2p Silver Jubilee stamp and an ink stamp showing a Deltic loco, and a card insert. The cover was produced to commemorate the inaugural run of the new Silver Jubilee named train on 8 June 1977. This was a limited edition of 5000 - this example is no. 3084. It was originally intended that the guards on the train should sell the cards. However the guards refused, and the covers were returned to York, where the majority were destroyed.
