Wooden box containing parts of early X-ray camera

Rough wooden box (no lid) containing parts of early X ray camera. At UCL, a notebook accompanied each demountable tube to record what people did with it. The abbreviations in the notebook refer to REG: Roger Gilbert and GW (Grenville Wells=Judith Milledge’s maiden name), believed to be amongst the last people to use demountable tubes.

From a collection relating to the X-ray crystallography research carried out by Dame Kathleen Lonsdale at University College London.
