Painting, watercolour on paper, St William's College, by Fred Taylor, about 1930. Depicts the outer courtyard of the medieval St William's College in York. At the centre two women are in conversation at the bottom of some steps. Beyond, a clergyman in a black cloak with a red shawl, walks towards an entrance. The painting is dominated by the half-timbered building with a red roof and dormer windows. Signed by the artist at bottom right. Framed. Original artwork for the London & North Eastern Railway poster, On the track of the Flying Scotsman.
