Daguerreotype developing box, c 1845
Wooden box 14 x 14 x 16.5cm. Side slide down to form legs, under lid, hinged wooden panel with zinc plate holder, with extracting rod, for 10 x 12 cm plates. Dished iron plate at bottom for mercury. Clear glass window in front, yellow glass window at side. Front glass covered by shutter. With glass spirit lamp and zinc adaptor for 8 x 12cm and 7x12cm plates.
