Sample Perspex window used by Ian Gilchrist in researching high pressure windows for Benthic pressure trap. A conical window which has been pressurised 1000 times to a pressure of 138 MPa in a cyclic fatigue test. During each cycle the window was compressed from atmospheric pressure to 138 MPa, and then decompressed immediately after the maximum pressure was reached.
