Kodak No 1 Camera
Kodak No 1 camera, manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co 1889 to1895. Box camera for factory loaded film, 100 exposures. 2 1/2" diameter / rapid rectilinear lens, fixed aperture and focus, sector type shutter, cocked by string, with attached lens plug. Serial No 10275 embossed in top and rear of camera body. With leather case.
Kodak No 1 camera, made by the Eastman Kodak Company in the United States, from 1889 to 1895.
The Kodak No 1 was Kodak’s second camera, the first simply called ‘Kodak’. The No 1 was produced from 1889 to 1895 and differs slightly from the original, featuring an easily removable lens board, and an improved sector shutter. The shutter was set by pulling a string and tripped by pressing a button on the side. After exposure, the film was wound to the next frame using a key.
