Quta Ferrotype Camera
Quta Ferrotype camera, c 1905. Sold by Johnathon Fallowfield. For 2x2 1/2 inch dry ferrotype plates; metal magazine with spring for unexposed plates; sliding back transfers one at a time to focal plane; inspection window with ground glass for focusing. Sliding catch allows exposed plate to fall into processing tank below, carried in pivoted compartment. Camera top turns through 90º for landscape format pictures. The camera was advertised by the Quta Camera Co. of New York. In England, Fallowfield sold the camera under their own name from 1907 as the Popular Ferrotype Camera.
