Telling The Passenger

Report, paper, "Telling The Passenger," British Railways (North Eastern Region) report to the Traffic Managers for Tyne & Wear, Teeside, Hull & York and the West Riding, February 1962. The report was prepared by a committee whose remit was to consider problems outlined in a memorandum by the Assistant General Manager (Traffic) of November 1959. The memorandum highlighted problems in informing passengers of delays both on stations and on board trains, and specifically highlighted problems at Newcastle, York, Darlington, Leeds City and Leeds Central. The report outlines the problems and makes various recommendations.
