Sample of screen-printed cotton, haemoglobin 8.26 furnishing fabric, grey colurway, 'Rings' pattern, based on crystallography by Max Perutz, designed by Marianne Straub, manufactured by Warner & Sons, Braintree, Essex, England. Also attached are smaller samples of the same pattern in black, red and blue colourways. Part of a collection of 83 samples designed for the 1951 Festival of Britain, based on X-ray crystallographic pattern.
