Kemco HoMovie camera. Cine-Kodak Model B pattern cine camera in Bakelite, for 16mm film. Takes 4 small frames to each 'standard' 16mm frame area by oscillating gate. Wollensak Cine-Velostigmat lens f/3.5 No 3499; clockwork drive. Folding optical frame finder. No 1132. The Kodel Electric and Mfg Co, Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Homovie camera may have used ordinary 16mm film, but it operated in a very invididual way, producing four small pictures within the normal 16mm frame area. The gate of the camera oscillated from side to side and the film was pulled through the gate half the normal length at a time. This produced a picture sequence in which the second picture was taken next to the first, the third was taken above the second, the forth was taken next to the third and above the first and so on. To ensure registration, the projector operated in the same way. This system allowed a piece of 16mm film to have four times the normal running time.
