Plate, china, commemorative plate celebrating 100 years of railway dininG, produced by Travellers-Fare, 1979. Centre features illustration of a scene in the first restaurant car between Leeds and Kings Cross, 1897. This is surrounding by the coats of arms and names of BR, LMS, Pullman Car Co., GNR, LNER, NER, SR, GWR and MR. Outside this is a depiction of an HST 125 and a GNR train hauled by a Stirling Single, and round the rim is the wording "Travellers-Fare. 100 Years of Refreshment." Stamped on the back with Travellers-Fare, the BR double arrow, and number 36. Overall: 25 mm 250 mm.
