Canon camera, made in occupied Japan. Leica 'lookalike' camera for 35mm film. Seranar f3.5 F:5cm lens No 11873. Focal plane shutter 1-1/500 sec. Coupled coincidence rangefinder. No 25524. Overall: 70 mm x 145 mm x 50 mm.

The Canon II B was seen as one of a small number of important advances in 35mm rangefinder photography in the years after the second world war. The camera featured a newly developed mechanism, a three-mode optical viewfinder.
