Harmonix Rock Band prototype material

Harmonix Rock Band prototype material

Harmonix Rock Band prototype material, 2007. A guitar and drumset from the Rock Band videogame. These objects were the first ever prototype instruments produced to test the game control mechanic before mass-production.

Harmonix Rock Band prototype material, made by Harmonix Music Systems in the United States, 2007.

Harmonix developed 'Rock Band', a series of music video games, in 2007. Versions of the game were released for the PlayStation, Xbox 360 and Wii. Players use one of four controllers modeled as a lead guitar, drums, bass guitar and microphone, and were scored on their ability to match their notes played or sung to notes on the screen. This photograph shows the guitar - a replica of a Fender Stratocaster, and the drum kit with 4 pads, a bass drum pedal, and real drumsticks.
