Volume, leather-bound wooden covers with brass embossing, silk inner covering and paper pages, 'Address to Mr. Pakeman from the members of the Railway Superintendent's Conference, August 1892'. The address was presented to Mr. Pakeman to mark his retirement from the Conference, and is signed by representatives of all the railway companies. The address is highly decorative, with Pakeman's monogram (C.L.P. or L.C.P.) embossed on the cover, an illuminated title banner and decorative page borders.
