Tom and Jerry is a popular cartoon which began in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The cartoon centres on two characters, Tom (Cat) and Jerry (Mouse) and their comic fights. Tom continually tries to capture and eat Jerry but always fails because of Jerry's ingenuity.
This particular animation cel was created in 1964, during the time the cartoon was written by Michael Maltese and directed by Chuck Jones.
