Nikon M Camera
Nikon M, made by Nippon Kogaku, in Japan, 1949.
The Nikon M is a 35mm rangefinder camera, the previous version, and Nippon Kogaku’s first camera was the Nikon I. The Nikon I used Nippon format frame size of 24x32mm, this non-standard format meant the camera was not very popular. As a result the Nikon M was introduced with a different frame size, 24x34mm, however this was still a non-standard format.
