The caption to the photograph read 'The centuries-old Danish custom of erecting Christmas trees in the centre of the town has been borrowed by Welwyn Garden City. This 55-foot high tree has been illuminated with more than 200 lights and crowned with a star sent to Welwyn by the Burgermaster of Copenhagen.'
