A photograph of train driver Jack Mills and his grandson Stephen, taken in August 1963 by Ronald Hicklin for the Daily Herald.
Jack Mills (1905-1970) was the driver of the train involved in the Great Train Robbery. Mills was attacked by the robbers, and handcuffed to the train's second man. He never fully recovered from his injuries.
