A photograph of a woman stacking a high tower of baked bean tins, taken in March 1936 by Harold Tomlin for Daily Herald.

This mountain of baked beans formed part of the Heinz stand at the Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition, London's Olympia. The Ideal Home exhibition was founded in 1908 by Lord Northcliffe, proprietor of the Daily Mail, the aim of the exhibition was to stimulate debate about better housing conditions.
