A hand-painted magic lantern lever slide of a man feeding a donkey, made by an unknown artist in the 19th century. The slide consists of two pieces of glass, one of which is painted with the main part of the image (apart from the donkey's head); and the other painted with the donkey's head and neck only. This is rotated, using the lever, to produce the movement of the donkey's head.
