Comet III camera by Bencini, made in Italy in 1953.
The first two Comet models, from 1948 and 1951 respectively, were conventionally shaped 127 cameras. The Comet III was first marketed in 1953 and represented a radical departure from the first two models. It is still a 127 camera, but designed with the film running vertically from the bottom to the top. This meant that when the camera was held in the correct position, the format was horizontal unlike many 16 exposure cameras which produced a vertical format.
