Butcher's Empire Cinematograph Model A, c.1908. Projector mechanism for 35mm film. Intermittent and two continuous sprockets (of 2 sizes). Taylor Hobson back projection lens F: 1 3/4 inches, No. 182956 in rack and pinion focusing mount. Rack and pinion framing on lens, lamphouse and gate. Two blade shutter, before lens. Originally fitted with electric motor in base with transformer for low voltage lamp. Lamphouse attached to gate rear. Double condenser and parabolic reflector fitted.
