Engraving, coloured, paper mounted in card and framed, Planet Engine, drawn and engraved by Isaac Shaw, 1831. Shows engine in steam , 2 crew and a workman watching. The Planet was one of Stephenson's locomotives for the Liverpool & Manchester Railway. Frame and probably the card surround are later additions. The engraving appeared in Shaw's 'A New and Complete Work of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway.'

Conservation has removed the frame 14/02/2018

Cartoon, by Bryan Mcallister, printed in the Guardian newspaper, Wednesday, July 18th, 1984, produced to satirise the nuclear flask test crash undertaken by the Central Electricity Generating Board, shows two figures observing the result of the test and one saying "Of course, we didn't really fill it up with nuclear waste - it was cheaper and safer to use coal", framed.
