BBC OBA/9A outside broadcast amplifier (later c.1960 version with miniature valves), with programme meter.
The original 1952 OBA/9 design used large EF37A valves which tended to be microphonic. By the early 1960s these had been replaced by miniature valves. The external appearance of the unit was unchanged. The OBA/9 units were still being used well into the late 1980s.
