Studer C37 Tape recorder (No.1), 1960.
The Studer C37 was an early stereo (2 track) tape recorder of very high quality. It used valves, was very heavy and often installed in a tall wooden console. It had motorised scissors for tape editing. Extensively used by the BBC (such as at Golder's Green). This version was fitted into a wood-effect console with quadrant faders (BBC Mod.) on the front.
