A single example of the LS3/1 Outside Broadcast Loudspeaker with the matching CT2/10 plinth below. The speaker uses Plessey and GEC drivers. The plinth is equipped with an AM8/1 or AM8/4 amplifier. The speaker can be separated from the plinth if desired.
In the BBC coded equipment fomat, 'LS' stands for loudspeaker, and the '3' indicates that the design is primarily for outside broadcast (OB) use. The '1' after the stroke is the model number.
