BBC ME2P/3 outside broadcast portable test set, Serial No. 1, 1982. All units have serial number 1. Plastic suitcase containing: DC Test & Telephone ME1/9; Battery unit & sweep PS2/266A; AF Test set ME2/4. Portable test set for audio circuits (primarily outside broadcast), providing facilities for full DC and AC measurements and telephone communication. Incorporates audio sweep generator for equaliser alignment. Power requirements 240V mains or 12 x HP2 batteries.
