Decca model 444 'Tele-Radio-Gram', 1956. This set was the top of the Decca product line in its day. It combines a 17" black-and-white, 405-line television with a built-in radio receiver + gramophone. The radio and Garrard 3-speed (33, 45 and 78 rpm) automatic record player are located below the screen in a pull-out drawer. Advertisements for the set exclaimed 'Decca TV earns the O.U.D.' (order of utmost dependability), and described how the screen could be hidden behind the 'glide-away' doors. Walnut-finished cabinet. 18 valves.
