Decca Radio and Television Ltd. was founded as a subsiduary of Decca Records in 1938 to take over the business of radio manufacturing and dealing previously carried out by Decca Gramophone Co. The company manufactured radio and television receivers (some pre-war sets under the 'Brunswick' label). The business was absorbed by Decca Record Co. in 1944, but continued as a branch of the company. Decca Ltd was bought by Racal in 1980 which formed Racal-Decca, and in 1981, Racal sold Decca Radio and Television Ltd. to Tatung, a Taiwanese firm. During the early 2000s, the company was dissolved through voluntary strike-off.
