McMurdo type L40 yellow survivor location lifebuoy light with single filament bulb. Used on vessels for hazardous installations such as offshore oil rigs, gas and oil tankers. It is corrosion and tamper proof and the batteries cannot be removed or expended accidentally. This lifebuoy light is possibly the world’s first intrinsically safe lifebuoy light.
