Bell from Duchess of Hamilton locomotive. Constructed in 1938 for the Locomotives visit to the USA. Inscription on plaque atttched on plinth writes:
"This Bell was cast in the brass foundry of crewe locomotive works in 1938. It was fitted to the engine of " the Coronation Scot" train which visited the United States of America in connection with the New York World Fair 1939. The weight of the bell and clapper is 1 CWT. The cast iron frame also weights 1 CWT".
