Portable microscope signed "Martin and Son Fecit, London". 5 objectives (3 with lenses, 2 without, 1 badly damaged). Top of lens of eyepiece missing, also mirror, with accessories.

Benjamin Martin took his son into partnership about 1776. This instrument has the same type of mounting for the body as his 'Universal' model of 1776 but the focussing is of the Cuff type, acting on the stage.
