Isle of Man Railway locomotive no. 3, named 'Pender', Order Number 2965 made by Beyer, Peacock & Co. Ltd, Gorton Works, Manchester, 1873.
This locomotive was one of the first batch made for the Isle of Man Railway by Beyer Peacock and Company. It was named after a director of the company Sir John Pender, who was a submarine communications cable pioneer and Conservative politician and later invested in the Isle of Man Railway
