Heald (reed) warp thread picker, made from metal with a green stained wooden handle.

This is a hand tool that would have been used by workers in the textile industry to correct broken or irregular warp threads during the weaving process.

The tool is divided like a pair of long-stemmed tweezers, each with a small notch at the end.

Weavers used the tool to draw individual warp threads through the heald section of the loom.

Textile workers used loom picks to ensure that the finished cloth was even and consistent.
