Record bridge Ohm meter
Record bridge Ohm meter.
Wooden box with broken carrying handle to top, crank handle to side, moving coil galvanometer to face.
Part of the Bob Gray collection of electrical objects.
An ohmmeter measures electrical resistance. Electrical resistance is the opposition to the flow of electricity known as the electric current. The unit of measurement for resistance is ohms and is represented by the letter omega, the final letter of the Greek alphabet. This would have been a useful piece of equipment for an electrical contractor.
