Train waiting indicator in black metal case. Box C fireman's call plunger. Located on model railway layout, gauge 1, Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Signalling School, built 1912, by L&YR.

A train waiting indicator reminded the signaller that there was a train on the line waiting at a stop signal. The route cause of Britain's most deadly railway accident at Quintinshill was a signaller forgetting that a train was waiting on the line next to his signal box and accepting another train which crashed into the waiting train.
