Gear Robot, gold body with box packaging, manufactured by Horikawa, Japan, 1972

Gear Robot was the first toy robot sold under the Horikawa brand name. The model was redesigned several times, but the name continued as long as the company Horikawa existed, and all contained the same basic features, with four gears and a sparking mechanism operating in the chest, and a trapezoidal head shape.
