Directional Robot, manufactured by Yonezawa, Japan, for Cragstan, USA, 1957

This early tinplate robot was made by Yonezawa for the North American market. It was battery powered, had turning head andf eyes which lit up, and was 'bump and go', so that it changed direction when it hit obstacles.
