Watch movement by Edward East c.1650. Movement only with no dial or hands. Verge escapement, pinned on balance cock with narrow oval table, and worm and wheel set-up regulator. Train of three wheels, with five-leaf pinions throughout. Signed ‘Eduardus East Londini’. Described in an 1849 catalogue of the Clockmakers' collection as ‘Movement only with catgut. The hour hand driven by Lanthorn Pinion on Fuzee Arbor’.
