Silver pair-cased watch by Benjamin Bell, London c. 1690. Silver case stamped 'SB'. Silver champleve dial with large subsidiary seconds dial. Steel tulip hands. Movement with verge escapement, steel balance-wheel with a spring of three turns and a train of four wheels. Signed on the movement 'Ben. Bell London'. Clockmakers' Museum No. 63

Bell was made a Freeman of the Clockmakers' Company 1657, Junior Warden in 1678, and Master in 1682.
