Silver pair-cased watch by David Lestourgeon, London c.1700. Plain silver inner and outer cases. Silver dial with eccentric hour ring and slot below showing a 'mock pendulum' or bob on the balance. There is a regulator dial on each side of the bob aperture, and Lestourgeon' signed below the aperture. Steel beetle hands. Engraved gilt-plate over the backplate with a central repousse bust of William III. Movement with verge escapement. Signed 'Lestourgeon London' on backplate. Clockmakers' Museum No. 112

Lestourgeon was a made a Freeman of the Clockmakers' Company in 1698.
