Watch by John Roger Arnold, London 1821. Hallmarked gold case stamped TH and 47. Silver dial with subsidiary seconds and steel hands. Movement with ruby cylinder escapement, steel balance with broad rim and sugar-tongs compensation. Also with Thomas Prest's form of keyless winding. Signed on the movement ‘Jno. R. Arnold London. Patent. No. 47’. Clockmakers' Museum No. 378.
