Gold watch by John Gibson, Royal Exchange, London, 1808. Gold case hallmarked for 1808. White enamel dial with subsidiary seconds dial. Gold spade hour and minute hands and steel seconds hand. Jewelled movement with duplex escapement, two-armed bi-metallic balance, diamond endstone and dust cap. Signed on the backplate 'John Gibson, Royal Exchange, No. 1533, London' and on the dust cap 'Jn. Gibson London 1533'.
