Gold watch made for Harold Lovell by William Hardy, London, c.1820. Gold case with illegible hallmark, and makers mark 'WM'. White enamel dial with the owner’s name in place of hour figures, subsidiary seconds dial and steel spade hands. Movement with accompanying dust cap, a fusee, and duplex escapement with bi-metallic compensation balance. Signed ‘William Hardy London 721’ on back plate.
